Acting Principal's Welcome

Welcome to Carrowdore Primary School's website.  Our website is intended to give visitors an insight into life in our busy school, as well as providing useful information for existing parents and pupils.

Carrowdore Primary School is a growing medium sized school situated at the heart of a rural community.  Guests comment on the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the family friendly feel of the school.

We strive to deliver high quality teaching and learning in a caring community, our school motto is 'caring promotes success'.  We aim to create a school that pupils, staff and guests look forward to visiting.

We believe education works best when we work in partnership with families and the local community.  Our wonderful PTA organise events throughout the year providing opportunities for staff and parents to get to know each other and to work together to raise funds for the school.

We hope you enjoy exploring this site but encourage you to visit in person if considering Carrowdore Primary School for your child.  If you do not find the information you require please do not hesitate to contact school directly.

Newtownards & District P.S.F.A. League Match:

On Thursday, Carrowdore Primary School proudly played the very first matches in our newly joined football league — and

what a fantastic debut it was! A huge thank you goes to Nigel for preparing the team and for his excellent coaching on the day. The children showed impressive skill, stamina, and most importantly, outstanding sportsmanship and manners throughout the event. We’re also

incredibly grateful to all the parents, friends and family who came along to cheer on the team and helped with transport

— your support made this day possible! Our first match was against Carrickmannon PS, where we secured a 5-0 win. We then faced

Greyabbey PS and won 6-0, followed by a final match against Ballyvester PS, finishing with another 5-0 victory. What a brilliant start!
